Christmas Season 2008

A few pictures of our Christmas:

Youngest son and I at school for a special Christmas crafts day!
Cool Sweaters! ( got mine at a thrift store for $ 1.00)

Youngest is 9 and still beleives in Santa. If he doesn't he isn't letting on!

Picking out our tree!! Oldest son tying tree down and saying "Mom! Put the camera away!"

We have been getting some real winter weather here in So. Cal. Usually the weather is so mild you don't really get to wear a coat, and scarves are decorative, not necessary. The nights have been really cold too, we've had to turn the heater on, which we don't normally do.
2009 has started of with a bang. At my work, the only fulltime people (2) were both let go, as they were salaried and got benefits. We couldn't afford them any longer. That was this morning. Then this afternoon, we were robbed. I work at a bank. People are getting pretty desperate, there are cameras in plain site. The bank on the corner was robbed a few days ago. I wonder are these are isolated incidences or is this due to the economy.
It's Friday night and I am grateful for the weekend, just because I have been sick for about a week and still have my tree and decorations up. Just haven't had the energy to take them down. I will get to it this weekend. Hoping to get to the movies this weekend as well, there are so many movies out right now that I want to see, that look really good. I haven't really made any New Years resolutions for myself, but I am going to try and start playing the piano again and eat more fruit and vegetables!
