An evening walk and boys in trees

There is as beautiful park that is walking distance from our house.   It is also an environmental reserve.  The city has been working on it a lot lately and it is really looking nice.    My youngest son and his friend and I and 3 dogs went walking there the other night.

A peaceful piece of nature in the middle of a big, populated city.

So beautiful in the light of dusk.
So close by, and yet this is the first time have been there in months.

The dogs were loving it, all the interesting smells and sounds in the bushes.
Beautiful wild flowers growing, these look like white roses.  I'll have to look next time and see if there is a placard anywhere identifying them.
Big grassy areas for playing

And really great climbing trees!   This is a hard one for me, I'm so scared of my kids getting hurt but boys (and girls) love to climb trees.  I used to climb the tree in our front yard as a child  and just sit up there and enjoy the view and sometimes use it to hide from the world.
So I let them climb because I remember, but I  bite my nails, more than a little relieved when they get down.

Getting dark so it's time to head home but we will be going back a lot sooner than the last time.   We had a really nice time and it was so pretty  there right before sunset. We have so many beautiful places nearby,
that we don't visit often enough.  I'm going to make an effort to get to a few more of them more frequently.

I love the photos. What a gorgeous area you live in! We have a fantastic climbing tree near our house too. My husband still loves to climb to the top of it :)
