The County Fair is Here!

The County Fair is back in town and we are definitely fair people!   We have had our Superpasses since January ( fair entry everday for one price)  We go so often that having one is the only way to go.  The fair is practically in our backyard and there is so much to see and do we barely get to all of it but we try.  Some of our friends and family think we're a little nuts but that's how we roll.  It's the highlight of summer : )

This is the cutest little 3 person circus and we watch it at least once every year even though our youngest is almost a teenager now.    He likes it too since it reminds him of being a little boy : )

Then there was the Bubble ride, Youngest Son is in the far Bubble.  He liked this a lot, thought it was pretty fun rolling around attempting to stand up and then falling down.  

The fun part for me is watching him have fun and walking around look at the booths and of course eating.   Serious fried food, bad food.  But how can fair food be bad?   Fried everything-twinkies, avocados and many others I can't remember.   Last night I ate a hotdog that was longer than my fore arm.   I definitely got caught up in the moment when ordering  because it was huge.   I tried to eat most of it but wound up tearing off a lot of the bun, too much bread!!    I still had room later for ice cream and a glass of wine in the wine garden.   We met up with a friend and her daughter and walked around with them until we decided it was time to go home.    The night before, Friday was opening night and we watched a really awesome band, a Journey tribute band.   They were so good, we were all singing along and waving our arms in the air!   Journey was my era for sure.  I went to a Journey concert in 1979.  These guys were great and got the whole crowd going.  They were so much fun I could forgive them for there horrible long haired wig!  If you have a regular gig as a tribute band why don't you just grow long hair?   I don't know.  Unless by day they are business types or something.  We will be going back tonight for a few hours and then it is closed for two days.  But we'll be back out Wednesday and Thursday for sure for the Bullriders and Extreme Rodeo, one of our favorites!!
