I tried

I was inspired to try and draw something by someone else's great sketches, I just had to use what I had, my son's crayons and computer paper. So here it is............it was fun anyway. This is a drawing of my great grandmother sitting in her chair in the living room where she sat every night. She's been gone for 16 years and Imiss her all the time. Watching TV in this chair with her dog next to her, (black spot in picture!) was her favorite thing.

Hi Redwoman,
I love this drawing. Her dress is so expressive, as is the serene expression on her face. Keep drawing. Crayons are very liberating. Try crayons with very big paper. It frees up your hand.

Very nice! You're quite the artist. I always wished I could draw, but unfortunately that's not the case.

As for those moccasins, all I can I say is wow. I can't even imagine the patience and dedication that goes into a project like that.

I'm guessing that Caroline may have been your muse ... she does great pictures .... I like your picture too ... Your Gram looks like she was drawn with love. I love all the extras that are in the picture too.

I have a son that had to do everything the hard way ... they don't listen until they reach about 30 and have teenagers of their own ... then suddenly you start hearing about how smart you are and how they should have listened!! lol

I guess it's all part of growing up, but it sure is hard on the nerves.

Oh! I LOVE your picture!

Art from the heart.

It doesn't get any better than that.
