Happy Easter!

Ihad alot of fun yesterday at my youngest son's (7 yrs.) school decorating cupcakes with the class and dyeing Easter eggs. This one was mine! He is always so happy when I am in his classroom. There is no one happier to see you than your child when you are coming in to help in his class. The love, the pride and admiration from him bowl me over. On another note my 18 year old was home all day (he's back if you read my previous posts) and I didn't tell him about my day's plans as he was still asleep when I left in the morning. He really suprized me by leaving me 3 messages and when I finally spoke to him later in the afternoon he was upset that he didn't know where I was all day. I thought he needed gas or money or something-he said "no" he was just worried because I hadn't returned all day. I was speechless. Maybe other mothers of teenagers can relate, sometimes you wonder if they think about you at all. That was nice. Yesterday was good, warm and fuzzies from two of my boys, and I went to Good Friday services at church for the first time in 20 years. It was beautiful.

Nice Easter stories...

This was also my first time (in the church I was baptized in) for Holy Thursday services …in 31 years! It was indeed beautiful.

Afterward, I did the traditional ritual of visiting other churches. I LOVED this as a child. This year, I was able to bring my partner with me. He’s new to the area, so everything was a first for him (and in a way, for me too.)

Also, my spur-of-the-moment marinade (consisting of what was available in the cupboard, midnight on Easter Saturday) for our last-minute leg of lamb, turned out great!

Zatar is a good thing.

Ahhh, Easter as a child! You sound like such a great mom! Mine never stepped one foot in my class.
