Renaissance

This weekend I attended the Renaissance Pleasure Faire with my middle son, nephew and mom. We go every year and dress up and have a good time. I made my son a new outfit this year and he looked great and was very pleased. So many great things to see and EAT. My favorite thing this year other than the food was a Turkish bellydancing group. The music, drumming and some kind of a string instrument (Lute?) was amazing, kind of hypnotic. And the bellydancers were amazing. When I think of belly dancers I always think of scantily clad women but these dancers wore alot of clothes, and alot of accessories, beads, shells etc. They were great. Alot more sensual fully covered than alot of dancers I have seen with less on. I could have watched them all day. Being out there really inspires me to do alot of things, draw, paint, bead, sew-try new things-ceramics, drumming, etching, maybe even Belly dancing........
and learn more about the history of the world.

It sounds WONDERFUL! I've never been to one of those fairs but have always wanted to. I love watching belly dancing too, so stunning and womanly!

The fair looks wonderful. I'd love to go to one someday.
About photos ... I have a hard time with them too ... but I did discover that you can drag the pictures (before you publish) into different positions
