I just got back from a short but recharging trip to Seattle, WA to visit a long time friend. We met at 18 and well we are both in our 40's. We have not been together longer than 2 hours about 5 years ago, when she and her husband were passing through. We haven't spent any real time together in about 14 years. It was so great, and I had such a good time with her. Either we went for coffee somewhere, (the original Starbucks is in Seattle) or sat at the dining room table and drank a pot and talked. I tried to see as many things as we could fit in in 4 days, Seattle is a beautiful place. Reminded me of San Francisco, although cleaner and greener. Place I really liked was Pike Place Market. If you ever go to Seattle, that is the place to go shop for anything. Also I loved the Puget Sound. A beautiful body of water. We rode across it on a car ferry over to Bainbridge Island, another neat place. Issaquah falls was beautiful. Issaquah means "many waters" not sure what Indian language that is, there are many tribes from that general area. We were so close to Canada, I wanted to drive to it, but it was a 2+ hour drive and we didn't make it. It was my first time to the Pacific Northwest and I loved it.

Hey, you were in my neck of the woods! On the southern side but still... Too bad you didn't make it to Canada this time, you'll have to try it some other time, BC is gorgeous.
Great picture! The Sky Needle in the background is awesome.
And that's my kind of friendship; long distance and low maintenance.
P.S. Your description of Seattle is incredible, I can't wait to go!
Sounds like a wonderful trip!
I'll bet it's beautiful there this time of year.
BF has friends on Bainbridge Island. I've only been there in February though.
You look happy and sort of ... contented. We lived in Tacoma for a while, Washington state is beautiful.
