I can hardly beleive it is the first of August already. Two kids are in summerschool, so it hasn't felt as much like summer vacation I guess. Usually we get out and do so much during the summer and this year we really haven't. Last year we spent a month in New Mexico where I am from, just relaxing, enjoying the country, riding horses, etc. We picked apples from the trees and made pies. It was great. I really miss not being there this summer. Anyway, it has been pretty hot here too, and it is tempting to stay inside alot. But turning the page on the calendar and realizing, it is already August, I am going to make an effort to get outside and do some stuff! Also, I don't know what it is, it seems so much more crowded this year. I live by the beach and the traffic has been the worst ever I think.

Came across a show I just started watching, Everyday Italian on the Food Network . I highly recommend it. I have been cooking from scratch alot lately because of this show. Great tasting dishes, especially the turkey meat loaf, if you go to their website. Yumm, really good, a new twist on meatloaf for me and a wonderful dressing to go along with.

As always, I enjoy reading alot of people's blogs, they are so interesting and insightful-uplifting. Mine is not nearly as interesting, but I keep plugging along!
