November: American Indian Heritage Month

Wow, November 4 already!   October is my favorite month but November and December are right behind it.   We haven't been to alot of Pow wows lately, but Middle Son and I did go a few weeks ago to hang out, watch some dancing, visit with friends.  Yes, this is a picture of myself, I'm a little bit preoccupied with them right now, I keep looking at pictures of me and asking myself if I look 50.   I turned 50 in October.   It freaks me out just a little.    I just need to get used to it.   Much wierder than 40 for me, when I was 40 I had a one year old.

These two girls were the incoming and out going Pow wow princesses.  I made both of their crowns and sashes as I have done for the last 5 years.   The both look so pretty in their Jingle Dresses.
This is my beautiful doggy, Lincoln.   He is getting along very well with everyone for the most part.  He is Chow and Border Collie.    All Chow in personality until a tennis ball comes into the picture and then his Border Collie kicks in I guess, he could retrieve the ball 100 times and then still want to do it some more.  He is a little OCD about it actually!   But isn't he pretty!
"Please Mama, I know it's Saturday morning and you want to relax and drink coffee and watch TV, but PLEASE play ball!"
Youngest Son  and Great Niece.   I LOVE this little girl.   I have all boys and my nieces have all provided me the opportunity to mother girls and they are all sweet and precious but this one is too special.   She is named after me : )      Cutest picture, she looks so relaxed, legs crossed, arm around son.  Just kicking back at the pumpkin farm.

I am 52 and I hope that I look like and feel like 52. That's my age and I want to be me :-)
