Tourist In My Town

I was reading a blog this morning, Sacred Suzie,  about being a tourist in your town, relating to "The Happy Book".   I thought I would do a post on my walk I try to do every morning or at least a couple of times a week.  It never fails to lift my spirits no matter what.

When I took these two pictures I thought they were symbolic of my journey in life : ) Putting one foot in front of the other everyday and then having different forks in the road, choices to make.

I usually walk from one pier to the other, and then back down the bay side as this area is on a peninsula. I like to watch the surfers in the mornings.  I wish I had the nerve to try surfing, but I probably don't.   I love the ocean and the water but definitely have a fear of it too. It is so massive and powerful.  I am in awe of it.

I like to walk down the boardwalk too, I see alot of the same people everyday out walking.  I enjoy looking at the beautiful ocean front homes too.

We are expecting rain this weekend!  I love the cloudy rainy skies over the ocean.

I just had to include this, two of my favorite things, the ocean and coffee : )

I have crossed over to the bayside where hundreds of boats are docked.

This psychic has been here for as long as I can remember.  I have only seen her maybe a handful of times.  But there is a sign on the door saying to call her if you want a reading and she can be over in a few minutes so she lives near by.   I can't imagine how she stays in business,  rents are pretty high in this area.

I cute little boutique with pretty clothes, I've picked up a few things here : )

Boats almost as big as my house!

P.S.   I am feeling like Thanksgiving is being completely squeezed out!  The radio, TV, stores emploring me to decorate and get ready for Christmas before I've had my turkey!  I love Christmas, but I also love Thanksgiving.  A holiday set aside to give thanks-no presents, not alot to buy, no wonder it is being run over. But I am holding out and fighting the urge to decorate before next Thursday.   Although I am guilty of watching  a couple of Christmas/holiday movies on the Hallmark Channel, I couldn't help myself!
