My family along with my father-in-law and his wife went out of town for Thanksgiving. We go to the same place every year. The beautiful Avila Beach, just a few miles north of Pismo beach on the coast. It is a nice time to get away for a few days before the Christmas season really gets going. The Mister works pretty much 24/7 after Thanksgiving weekend so we look forward to this time to relax for a few days every year. I quit cooking on Thankgiving quite a few years ago and sometimes I miss cooking or going with extended family but it has become our tradition and it is always really nice.
These two were working in a little deli/candy shop near where we were staying on the beach and they were more than happy to have their picture taken. I thought they were cute.
This is an extremely dog friendly town, dogs were everywhere!!!!! Left ours at home, as much as we love them, caring for them is a big job and we were trying to relax!
There is a really nice little barn/farm/farmer's market combo nearby that I always look forward to going to. They have all kinds of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as Christmas trees and shopping areas with all kinds of Christmas goodies for baking and decorating. Now I am busy putting Thanksgiving decorations away and getting out my boxes and boxes of Christmas decorations!
