Simple pleasures

One would be my garden. I have a plot in a community garden and this year we did pretty well. There are a ton of green tomatoes! And some good looking corn and really tasty basil. A few tomatoes have ripened and they are delicious, sweet and a deep red flesh : ). The last tomatoe I bought at the store was tasteless and pink inside. So was a bag of grapes. Just didn't have any taste. I'm excited to have so many tomatoes growing. For breakfast I had a little leftover chicken and cut up my tomato and ate it with some basil. Yummy! Looking forward to a lot more.

I agree, supermarket produce is tasteless once you've had the real thing from your own garden. Fresh picked tomatoes with basil, mozzarella, and a little extra virgin olive oil....yummm!!!!

Oh your garden and those tomatoes look amazing! I am so happy you are enjoying real food like that, isn't it exciting?

And thank you my dear friend for the card. It touched my heart when I came home broken hearted today after such a painful day. You made a huge difference with this beautiful gift. Thank you my friend.
