Some of what I've been doing...................

Well Obviously it hasn't been much blogging!!
I spotted this Bug van on the road and took a picture at a stoplight.  So cute.
I've been out and about walking my dogs, should do it more than I do, they love it so much.  They'd stay out all day long if I could.   This is Link and he LOVES the beach.  He is so smart, he can tell by the streets I drive down when we are going there and can hardly contain himself he get so excited.

We enjoyed these WAY to many times before St. Patricks Day but boy were they good!!!  Shamrock shakes : )

I went to see Dr. Phil with my two oldest boys and we all got one of these pretty phone covers out of Swarofski Crystals.   The gave them to their girlfriends.  I really like mine but the crystals pop off pretty regularly.  Fortunately it came with spares and a tube of glue.   It's my 6th or 7th time at Dr. Phil and I have been given VIP status to that show which cracks me up but it's true, they call out my name and we get to go to the front of the line.  I keep thinking it's a mistake?  I asked for tickets once and since then they contact me and ask me to come !  It is kind of fun though, and I can bring guests so I take different people everytime.

Easter Mass at our church.  Youngest Son is an altar server.  He takes his responsibility very seriously and I'm very proud of him for that.  I see that he is not in this picture though.  He was in the back or the front of the procession swinging  the incense ball  and I guess I cut him out of the picture.

Oldest Son plays with his cousin Max at Easter Brunch.

In April I went with my sister, brother and two of my children to New Mexico to participate in a special weekend, the celebration of 100 years of Freedom for the Chiracahua Apache, they were released from prison in Oklahoma and returned to New Mexico to live on a reservation with the Mescalero Apache.  They were let off the train in Tularosa and had to walk 25 miles to the reservation or ride horses or buckboards if they had them.  This weekend I was there they held a re-enactment walk to honor our ancestors who made this walk without the benefit of a paved highway and people on the side of the road handing them water and snacks every mile or so like they did for us.  The girl in the crown and sash is my cousin, Deandra, Miss Mescalero Apache, and that is me a few feet in the background over her shoulder between her and the other turquoise dress.   My brother and I made the walk.  It took us 6 hours and it was HARD.  My brother is a marathon runner but I am not and it was hard but I made it.  I was proud of myself.  I just keep thinking of those elders and children, pregnant women, etc that had to make that walk to get home and just did it, with no complaining.  It kept me going.   The hard life was a way of life for them and I only had to do this once.  So I did it.

This is only a small portion of the walkers but the groups got more spread out as the day went on.   It was a beautiful day.

This little pony wasn't sure he wanted to go that far, but evemtually he settled in.

The next day of that trip we went to the hardware store and made a new grave marker for my father's grave.   The cemetery is up a road and is at the bottom of some hills.  It has a few engraved markers but a lot of the graves are just marked with homemade woodem crosses.  It seems to go with the landscape so we just remade my dad's marker that had gotten weather beaten with a new one.   It was nice that his  grandchildren were there to help too.   It was a good activity to do together and something the kids will remember.  My sister, (his daughter) my two sons and her son, (grands) and up front my sisters granddaughter, a greatgrand for him : )    He was a very young man of 36 when he died, it seems strange to be older than he ever was.

We spent a lot of time at Knotts Berry Farm, one of our favorite places.  We get annual passes every year so we can go for a few hours when we feel like it.   I love Knotts because it was such a big part of my childhood and I also worked there in my 30's in the Indian Village.  I love that there are a lot of times when it is not to crowded and we can just stroll around and window shop, eat.   And I love the historic side of it, Ghost Town.

Used Instagram to take this picture of a window in Ghost Town, I love it, it just gave it a little extra vibrancy.

We went camping for a night.  We can go 25 minutes and be at a nice campground.  It is perfect with little kids because you feel like you are in the wilderness and get the camping experience but in actuality the city is just over that ridge.  Very handy.

I got my boys to help me do yard work to get the backyard ready for summer.  A big job.  Lots of leaves!

I got in quite a bit of thrift shopping this past few months and found stuff for everybody!  This was a fantastic sale, I found a beautiful pair of J. Crew!

I spent as much time walking at the beach as I could.   I love any day at the beach, sunny gloomy, doesn't matter.  I tend so actually spend less time at the beach during the summer though, the crowds get crazy from the end of June till school starts.  I usually return the very next day and it is back to quiet stretches of beach and just me and my dog : )

Flowers have been blooming all over my yard and I love to cut them and decorate the table with them, so pretty.

The boys have been enjoying the pool a lot too as we have been having some 80 to 90 degree days for the past few months.

My Mista and My Sista and I attended a cousin's baby shower, it was lots of fun.  See those cute little booties she made for all the tables?   Moccasins booties, so cute.  My mister was such a good sport, he is wearing a pink pacifier around his neck, he played all the games with us.

I worked for a week straight and was up for 24 hours one night to bead this Princess crown for a local pow wow.  The first time I ever beaded a crown.

Youngest Son decided to join boxing for his exercise routine.  He really is enjoying it and it is really a good workout.  LA Boxing, now called UFC Boxing.

I have touched on a few of the things I have been doing, and hopefully I get back on here more regularly to share what's going on.  As much as I hope people read and enjoy I like to document for my kids and maybe their kids too, a little glimpse into our life for them to read about and remember later on.

Wow, it's been a busy few months for you! You must be very proud to have participated in the Freedom Walk with the family...are your feet still sore? Thanks for the catch up post and, as usual, the beautiful photos.
