Officially the Christmas Season!

Well Thanksgiving has come and gone and Christmas is here in full swing what with all the stores being decorated, Christmas music has been on the radio for a couple of weeks already.  My favorite time of the year and we are in a little bit of limbo. We got notice from our landlord a few weeks ago that we have to move, he needs to sell his rental house. We have been here four years and really love it but there's nothing we can do. He is giving us until the 15 of January but we don't want to wait, we were hoping to be moving this weekend so that we could have Christmas somewhere and not amongst a houseful of boxes. We have found a new home but the process has been painfully slow! I am not sure why, inexperienced property manager, the fact that the landlords live in France? Still in this day and age of internet, fax machines, text, etc. it just doesn't seem like it should be this hard. Oh well. They are willing to rent to us with all our pets and that is a big deal. We have accumulated 2 dogs and a cat. We never meant to get them being renters and you just never know what will happen, but two of them were brought home by the boys and we couldn't say no. Have you ever tried to look into the sweet face of a homeless kitten or dog and say No? If you have you are a stronger man than I because I obviously cannot. Then we, the adults, brought one more into the mix figuring at that point what's one more?? (one more is actually a lot!) So we are just waiting for the go ahead to get the keys and start moving. I can't wait to get my Christmas on for sure!

Been renters for most of our married life - not a fun thing when it isn't your choice to move.

Hope it all goes well and you have a great time celebrating the Christmas season in your new place!
