I am in the middle of a big move right before Christmas, going back and forth from new house to old house, and wondering why in the world we decided to move right now. What a mess! I moved too much yesterday and my back is hurting......hopefully today I can get my tree up.
I have been thinking alot lately about the Holiday season. I am a Roman Catholic ( not a very good one, I'm trying). I struggle with religion and what it all means to me. I beleive in alot of things, I am very much into natural things and spirit. My mother practices and follows the teachings of Gerald Gardner, and I know and like some of that too. I try to find the commonalities in all ways of thinking. I was getting out some decorations yesterday and I have a collection of Nutcrackers and was reading how old nutcrackers are, they come from Europe and they are handcrafted and are supposed to possess magical powers and keep away evil spirits. I have a collection of Kachina dolls and I know that the Kachina dolls also are handcrafted and have magic powers and spirit and are used to teach children lessons. It made me think how the world really is small and we really are alot the same no matter what we beleive or where we come from. In Europe as far back as the 1700 someone was making Nutcrackers, and across the ocean someone was making Kachina dolls.

I know where you're coming from - I was raised Roman Catholic also ... You just have to find what works for you. (there's an understatement!)
I think religion is hard work ... you're on the right track if it resonates in your heart.
Hope that by the time you read this ... you are all moved in.
