I went with my mom to this beautiful store that always has the best decorations! We love to go here for all the holidays. Rogers Gardens. This beautiful Snow Queen really caught my eye, loved her. And her subjects, the elves or gnomes? I think there is seven so it is kind of like a winter version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!
These reminded me of the cardboard and glitter houses we had in the house when I was a child. We had a whole town. I don't know whatever happened to it, they were my grandmothers and alot of her things disappeared when she gave up her home to live with family, that we never saw again.
These are much more elaborate but we loved our village, we were allowed to play with it and my sister and brothers and I did for many, many hours. Sadly I don't see my children playing so much now like we used to, or getting too excited about the decorations. One day in December without any warning, my grandmother would go out into the garage and start bringing in the boxes of decorations. We would get so excited! That was our sign that Christmas was near.
Check out this beautiful Santa, I would love to have him in my yard but his price tag is more than I will probably spent on gifts this year! I have managed to get all my lights up and working, I had a couple of fuses blow and some bad lights making for a few frustrating moments but Middle Son and I managed to fix everything without having to go buy all new lights.
This red room is just gorgeous, I LOVE this red chandelier. Plaid is so beautiful too, love love plaid with red and black.
Beautiful Door wreaths everywhere, but I think I may try my hand at making my own. I love the ones with red roses and berries. Love, love!
Well I am off to decorate my own tree and finish up my house before I leave next week for a little Christmas/Birthday celebration in NYC! My twin sister and I had a biggie this year, and decided about 2 years ago that we would celebrate by going together to NY at Christmas time for this particular birthday. I am really looking forward to being with her for 5 days in a beautiful exciting place. We live about an hour from each other, not too far, but we both have families and busy lives and don't see each other near enough. She was my best friend growing up and I miss her.
