We're back home!
My 12 year old son went to the ER last Thursday night for bad asthma. We had been to the doctor earlier in the day and the medication he was given from the doctor just wasn't working for him like it usually does so we went back in the evening. The doctor decided to send us over the the ER. We've been there for asthma before, my oldest son had asthma as a child too, so we knew what to expect. We'd stay there a few hours while they got him breathing better and then be sent home. Not this time! They decided to keep him overnight and it was a good thing they did. His breathing got even worse even after being in the ER for a few hours. Eventually is was discovered he had pnemonia. That along with asthma was making things pretty bad for him. It was very scary but after 4 days in the ICU and 1 day in a regular room he is fine and we are both back home. We were so happy to walk in the front door and back to our routine and Christmas! And of course I am so grateful that my little boy is alright.
