Thursday the 25th

Well here it is almost Halloween and I can hardly beleive it!!! It is still pretty much warm and sunny where I live, not fallish at all! I love it but it would be nice for it to feel like fall for a while : ) I got my Halloween decorations up a little late partly because it was hard to get in the mood because of the warm weather and partly just busy.

These were the beautiful skies last week, just amazing!

I can't decide which I like best, they are both so pretty each in their own way.

I know I'm skipping around like crazy here.  One of the things that had me kind of busy was taking everything out of my bedroom and shampooing the carpeting and painting my room.  It is such a pretty color, a light teal.  I love it!!!   Just enough color to make it a little different and not enough to really be shocking.   I went to Home Goods and picked up some new pillows to pick up the color of the new wall paint.   I need some kind of window covering, don't you think?  The light colored blanket on the bottom of the bed is the dogs blanket.  I don't like them to lay on my pillows or comforter, so they are trained to sit on their own blanket on the bed. : )

And for the health segment today, my mom and I are trying to green juice it.  We are not having only green juice but are trying to include it along with meals to try and get more greens.  I love salads and some vegetables but I think it is hard to get 5 servings in a day, and this is a pretty good way to do it.  Once I finally came up with a good combinations.   My first batch seriously tasted like the front lawn so I had to add some fruit to it.  I added blueberries and 1/2 an avocado and it helped A LOT.

I love Odwalla carrot juice and so I just buy that and use the bottle afterwards to store the green juice in.  If you've ever tried to juice carrots, I don't think its worth it.   Odwalla makes a great juice and it takes sooo many carrots just to make a little juice!

And to finish off today's post here is a picture of my babies in their Halloween costumes!  The little witch (Spike) looks bewildered and the Pumpkin Fairy (Lincoln) is just not happy at all!   But they are so darn cute!!  I got both their costumes at the .99 cent store for a total of 4.00.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I will be meeting my twin sister at a Tea Room for lunch and then be having cake with my boys in the evening.  Perfect!

Painting a room makes such a difference. I have made a few grassy tasting juices myself so that made me cringe in empathy. Great costumes for the dogs!

Good luck with the green diet --I'm sure it is very healthy!
I should try it!
Loved your dogs' costumes.
Love from rather battered New York!

We had a very strange Halloween here due to the storm. We got a handful of kids on Halloween and it was supposed to be postponed to tonight but so far we have had only 2 kids.

The green juice sounds good and healthy! Happy belated birthday!!!
