I am happy for a New Year, like new paper and pencils, a clean slate, etc!! I haven't been on for a while, the holiday gets so busy. Then with the shootings a few weeks before Christmas, well I just wanted to hold my family a little closer. Decorate and celebrate a little more, none of us knows what tomorrow will bring. So note to self: make everyday count. Make sure the people you love know how you feel. Pet and cuddle with the pets a little more : ) Smile at strangers, be in the moment.
Christmas was beautiful and wonderful, here are a few pictures of the season:
For some reason I am not able to move any of my pictures! These are some of the house in my area, all decked out for Christmas! Seemed like a lot more people had lights this year than last year.
This house below was so cute, what a creative idea!
My kitty Dot laying on my tablecloth : / I was constantly trying to shake off his fur!
Our tree lit up in the evening.
A neighbors house.
Beautiful! This house is around the corner.
Great idea here with the Dr. Seuss-like trees : )
My min pin, Spike, dressed up for Christmas!
My mom and I at our annual Christmas lunch at Knott's Merry Farm, always the traditional chicken dinner. Yum
My grown boys actually wanted to go with us this year! It was very nice to have them along. They are coming back around to wanting to spend a little more time with me as they get older. (or was it the free chicken dinner?)
The tree in Calico Square at Knott's. We got to see A Christmas Carol at the Birdcage
Theatre at Knott's, one of our traditions too.
My beautiful doggie Lincoln sitting so nicely under the tree watching Santa work.
And I have two very pregnant nieces who are sisters! Devon and Hayley. Devon (pink) is due in March and Hayley is due any day now!! (update: Hayley is due anytime now! She may be going to the hospital today, we'll see!)
This is my other niece in New Mexico, where the other half of my family lives, she is Miss Mescalero this year and doing a wonderful job. She is the perfect ambassador for our tribe, beautiful and sweet. I don't know who the baby is, she's not hers, and could be family? We have a lot of relatives there on the reservation. : )
