This is my handsome oldest son in a suit! He is on his way to an interview for a job. He's only worn a suit one other time that I'm aware of, a tuxedo in fact when he was 13 or 14? I'm going to try and find that picture and put it up here. He was not too happy about wearing it but I thought he looked great!
Topic jumping, this is a bunch of fresh coriander from my own garden. It smells amazing.
The recipe for this hot or cold salad is one of the best I've run across in awhile! I was watching the Food Network and Giada was on and preparing this salad. She used orecchiette pasta, little ears, and I used that the first time and the second time I used what I had. Simple recipe but so good! Everyone I've shared it with has loved it.
grape tomatoes
12.0z spinach
2-3 leaves of chard
chick peas
pasta
Cook pasta and drain. Saute spinach and chard in olive oil. Add the pasta, chickpeas and tomatoes last and cook for about 5 minutes and then serve warm with some great bread. When you put it in the fridge, it is even better cold the next day. Definitely a go to lunch or side for summer time ! So good
I just love this picture and recently I have been going through boxes and boxes of pictures that I need to get on discs. I found this. It is middle son on the left, the biggun (9 lb. er at birth) and my nephew. They are 2 months apart. Little sweeties : )
This was them last summer when we went to New Mexico and stayed in a hotel. I caught them napping after the long drive and had to get a picture. They are on the same side as in the baby picture. So cute! They didn't think so but it's my right as a mother and aunt to have cute pictures. They have grown up together and are obviously! still very close. So nice. I never had any cousins my age growing up. My mother's siblings are all younger than her and she had my twin sister and I when she was 16. I have cousins now from her side that run in age from 40 to 17. I'm 52 so I didn't really had cousins to hang out with. I used to babysit my oldest cousin, she's 40 now, and we became close later on.
Middle Son entertaining himself in the thrift store, funny guy!
And my little baby Spike. We got him about 5 years ago from the Animal Shelter. He was a stray. They had him listed as a min pin and all this time thats what we thought he was, at least a mix. But my oldest son showed me some pictures the other day of an English Toy Terrier and he is the spitting image of this breed, with all the correct markings. He looks a little like a min pin but most I have seen have been much shorter than him and stockier. His body reminds me of a little deer. He's a sweetie. He's lying on my lap right now. If I sit down anywhere he tries to get on my lap. He is happiest curled up next to someone he loves snoozing. All though he can really move when he needs to, yesterday he was chased at the dog park by a Malamute, Labrador and a pitbull. It started out as a game but then the Malamute jumped on him and scared him so he turned and snarled. That got the pitbull going so he jumped in and started snarling and was going to take a bite when I scooped him up! Neither of us wound up getting bit fortunately and the owner finally showed up to take his dog to the other side of the yard.
Happy Friday!!!

Great photos, and those boys have really grown! I tried your salad recipe and loved it...it's going into my little book of favorite recipes, and I do think I like it better cold the next day. Happy March First!
